The Ice Palace is the story of a southern belle that believes she wants to live in the North because things are livelier there. She is bored with the slow lazy world of the South. She finds a northern beau and makes plans to marry him. Until she visits the Ice Palace where she learns how cold those northern folks can be. Knowing that FSF used passages from Zelda’s diary in his stories, one can’t help but see Zelda throughout this story. Enjoy!
